Lifting up Communities

Dream Connections marked the back-to-school season distributing school supply kits along with personal care items to eager students at a local church. Ensuring the students had the basics needed for a successful school year. 

Dream Connections organized a Christmas celebration for a low-income rural community, bringing joy and support to those in need. The event included a festive meal, entertainment for all ages, Christmas gifts for children, youth care packages, and special care packages for pregnant women. In addition, groceries were provided to over 60 families, and everyone enjoyed the delicious traditional Colombian Christmas dessert. It was a day filled with warmth, laughter, and holiday cheer for the entire community. 

At a local after-school program that serves underprivileged students, Dream Connections hosted a joyful Christmas celebration. The event offered gifts for the children, care packages for the youth, and a festive meal that included traditional Colombian Christmas dessert. The celebration was made even more special with entertainment, providing a fun and meaningful experience for the students.

Dream Connections organized the 2024 Dream Connections Christmas Card Competition at a local school, where students were invited to design a Christmas card that reflected what the holiday meant to them. The winning cards were featured in all the toys, groceries, and care packages distributed during the 2024 Christmas season. 

The Dream Connections Team was so impressed by the incredible talent of the students that they couldn’t choose just one winner, resulting in three deserving students being selected as winners.

Dream Connections took to the streets with a pop-up food distribution event in an area heavily populated by individuals experiencing homelessness. The team worked to provide 250 hot meals, drinks and support, offering a moment of relief and compassion to those who often face daily struggles and hardships.

Dream Connections spread holiday cheer to a rural community that struggles with a lack of basic necessities such as water and electricity. The team worked to bring joy and hope to an area where resources are scarce, offering a brighter holiday season for the residents who face everyday challenges.

The team organized and hosted their very first Serve event, where they came together with a shared mission: to pack 100 backpacks with essential school supplies and personal care items for the children of an underserved community in Palmira, Colombia. The process of assembling the supplies was deeply moving, and it sparked a strong desire within the team to continue serving this community. They saw firsthand how small acts of kindness can make a big impact of not only the ones receiving but those serving as well.
